In accordance with the principles of our quality management system, we work with the utmost care and constantly monitor the quality during the production process and the finished product:

Trained employees first visually inspect the painted parts according to individually defined criteria. Only 100 percent compliance with these requirements clears the way for further quality control checks.

The following steps include testing adhesion, measuring film thickness, gloss and optical appearance under standard lighting conditions. We carry out further quality controls in our laboratory.

This includes:

  • Long-term climate test
  • Abrasion test
  • Scratch resistance
  • Boiling test
  • Adhesion tests (adhesion, crosscut, folding knife)
  • metrological colorimetric assessment (CM2600)


Other components of efficient quality inspection include the following factors:

  • Use of the CAQ system “Quipsy”
  • constant advice from our partner DEKRA
  • Application of customer and/or article specific application of elements of TS 16949
  • constant training of employees in matters of quality

In the summer of 2017, the H&B paint shop was successfully certified according to ISO/TS 16949:2009. In spring 2018, our company was successfully certified according to IATF 16949:2016. In autumn 2023, the H&B paint shop was successfully certified according to ISO 14001:2015.
